Manufacture Dominique Renaud SARL is the controller of the personal data collected through this website, within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Scope
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it and what rights you have.
It applies to all pages of the dominiquerenaud.com domain, in both its French and English versions. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, including the Renaud Tixier brand website, which have their own policies.
The processing of your data is governed by Swiss law. If you reside in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR provisions that concern you also apply and are referred to explicitly below.
3. Data we collect
3.1 Data collected automatically when you browse
When you visit the website, our hosting provider technically records certain information needed to deliver the pages:
- IP address
- date and time of access
- pages viewed and referring page
- browser type and version, operating system, language
- amount of data transferred and server response code
This data is processed to ensure the operation, stability and security of the website, and to detect and analyse any intrusion attempts. It is not used to identify you and is not combined with other sources.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website (Art. 31 FADP / Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3.2 Reservation request
The form used to request the reservation of a timepiece (for example the Pulse60) collects:
- the colour or version you would like
- your last name and first name
- your postal address (street, city, country)
- your email address
- your telephone number
- the content of your message, if you write one
This information is used solely to process your reservation request, to contact you to discuss its terms and, where applicable, to prepare the sale or delivery. It is not used to send you marketing communications and is not added to a mailing list.
To submit the form, you must agree to the processing of your data by ticking the box provided for this purpose.
Legal basis: your consent and the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
3.3 International warranty registration
The form on the International Warranty page lets you register a DOMINIQUE RENAUD or RENAUD TIXIER watch in order to benefit from the 3-year extension of the international warranty. It collects:
- the brand of your watch
- its serial number
- your email address
This information is used to verify the authenticity of the timepiece, record the warranty extension, contact you to confirm it and handle any after-sales service request during the warranty period. It is not used for marketing purposes.
Legal basis: performance of the warranty that binds us to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3.4 Protection of forms against automated submissions
Our forms include an invisible field designed to block submissions from bots (a so-called “honeypot” technique). This mechanism runs entirely on our server: it sets no cookies, requires no action from you and transmits no data to any third party.
3.5 Direct communications
If you write to us by email or contact us through our social media accounts, we process the data you send us on that occasion solely for the purposes of the conversation.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website.
Strictly necessary cookies
Our website runs on WordPress, which sets a limited number of cookies essential to its operation: session management, form security and remembering the language you selected. They serve no advertising or statistical purpose and do not require your consent.
Audience measurement cookies
At present, the website uses no audience measurement tool and sets no statistical or advertising cookies.
Managing your preferences
You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent some features of the website from working properly.
5. Recipients and service providers
We do not sell your personal data and do not pass it on to third parties for commercial purposes.

Where necessary to handle your reservation request or your warranty, your data may be shared with the relevant authorised retailer. It may also be disclosed to the competent authorities where required by law.
6. Data location
Your data is hosted in Switzerland, in our hosting provider’s data centres. It is not transferred outside Switzerland, unless you are put in contact with an authorised retailer located abroad at your request.
If you reside in the European Economic Area, Switzerland benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which recognises that its legal framework provides a level of data protection comparable to that of the GDPR.
7. Retention periods
We keep your data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described, then delete or anonymise it.

8. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure: TLS encryption of data in transit, control and restriction of administrator access, regular updates of the content management system and its extensions, protection of forms against automated submissions, and backups at our hosting provider.
However, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Your rights
In accordance with the FADP and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Access: obtain confirmation that your data is being processed and receive a copy of it
- Rectification: have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
- Erasure: request the deletion of your data where its retention is no longer justified
- Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interest
- Restriction: request the temporary suspension of processing (GDPR)
- Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format or have it transferred to a third party
- Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
To exercise these rights, write to us at info@dominiquerenaud.ch. We may ask you for proof of identity to prevent disclosure to an unauthorised person. We generally reply within 30 days.
Deleting the data linked to your warranty registration may prevent us from confirming the extension or handling an after-sales service request.
If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with the law, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, Switzerland, or, if you reside in the European Union, the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
10. Links to third-party websites
Our website contains links to third-party websites, including the Renaud Tixier brand website. Following these links takes you away from our website: your data is then processed in accordance with the privacy policy of the operator concerned.
No third-party content is embedded directly in our pages. Videos and images are hosted on our own server. Browsing the website therefore does not involve any transmission of data to external platforms.
11. Minors
Our services are not intended for persons under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect data relating to minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not use automated individual decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
13. Changes
We may amend this policy to reflect changes to our services or to the legal framework. The applicable version is the one published on this page. We invite you to consult it regularly. The date of the last update appears at the end of this document.
